Weird novel, but well written.
This book was extremely confusing. I was understanding it, then I got lost 'cause I had no clue which character was which, then when I figured that out, the book was almost finished.
It was impossible to make any connections to any character in this story because no one really has a remote that skips though time, a girlfriend who has a bunch of clones walking around that look like her and learns stuff when in a subconscious state. None of the characters were even really human; they hardly beated an eye when they killed someone.
Even though this was a bizarre book, it was still very good because you could not relate to anything, so to understand the plot, you had to transport yourself to Brenner's world. I can completely understand why people could not get into this book because our reality is so much different than Brenner's reality. But for Sci- fi lovers, this book is awesome.
Personally, I liked this book. I think it would have been better if there was imagery. I have no idea what any of the characters look like because it was not explained.
But all in all, a fairly good book.
3.7 out of 5 stars
