Insurgent (Veronica Roth)

The war between Dauntless (the brave people) and the Erudite (the smart people) is in full swing and it is not stopping anytime soon.

All the other factions are being forced to choose sides. Which seems to separate factions. So now the numbers are almost tied.

But people are like onions; everyone as layers and layers of secrets, and ones you un peal all the layers is when you learn who someone is and who they are aliened to.

Divergent means that someone got two ore more test results when they took the faction test. Their brains work different then other people's brains, so they can't be put into 'test' that test ones bravery or how trusting one is.

The only things that the Erudite cannot solve is how to sedate the Divergent; which is making them even angrier.

And making them angry will probably not resolute in a peaceful way.

.................................................................................................

I can't believe I am going to have to wait a year and a half for the next one to come out.

The first half of the book was terrible because the setting was always changing and I could not keep track of any characters and the plot was changing, but not really effecting the characters. The plot was moving, but it was just words and no emotion because the protagonist was going though death. I get that it was sad for her, and that developed her character. But a the same time, come on! Their is war going on and your sad about a few people dying? their will be more death if you don't get moving again

But then at chapter 22 it got really, really good.

The plot picked up, the characters got their crap together and then I could not put the book down. My eyes are just being able to focus again 'cause I could not stop.

The ending was so shocking, yet predictable. Everything was adding up to a happily ever after, and then, BAM!!! Everything suddenly changes, your heartbeat picks up, and then you turn the next page, and its the acknowledgement....Then you go to google to order the next book, and you learn you have to wait a year and a half  for the next one.

I'm really, really mad.

But the second half of the book was fantastic. But the first half was crap. I wish it was the opposite so I won't have wait for a year for an exciting book.

4.75 out of 5 stars
