The humans have been in charge of the farm forever. But now its the animals turn to rule the farm.Animal farm is just like the society we- humans- live in. The pigs are the rulers. Everyone else does not matter. In history class, you only remember the Kings names anyways.
Old Major build the principle of animalism, with some help from commander Napoleon and Snowball. The rules are:
- Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
- Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
- No animal shall wear clothes.
- No animal shall sleep in a bed.
- No animal shall drink alcohol.
- No animal shall kill any other animal.
- All animals are equal.

I did not get the big metaphor until half way though the book. Personally, I found it got boringer when it was not just about talking animals.
The author did a really good job using animals to discribe government. But it got really confusing who was pig and who was not.
The English the author used was hard to understand. But that was mostly because it was written in the forties.
my favorite character was definetly Mollie (the one who left) and Boxer (the houres who says "I will work harder") because I knew who they represented. Obviously, I knew who the pigs represented, but they were mean.
I was really disapointed that the animals did not take down the pigs. But, just like in goverment, the other animals just listed to what they said.
Good book, but it was a little boring.
3 out of 5 stars.
