Well, things probably won't go as planned do to the fact that is an alien from a planet called Lorien, but if he can hide that, it should go as planned.

I don't really know why I fined alien novels so interesting, but I really do like them; if they are not too weird.
All of the "Lost Files" books focus on characterization because the main books in this seires just focus on plot. Personally, I love these little side stories because they make the main books make more sense and the characters come to life.
I also really like how the author wrights because none of the characters are forced and all of them have different reactions to death. They all center around killing whoever killed their loved once, but none of them react to it exactly alike.
If you have read "The power of six" you will know the ending to Nine's life alone, which takes away all of the suspense, but we still don't know how the side charters stories will get tied up, so there is a little suspense.
I loved how the plot tied in with the characterization because every time a character changed the plot changed with it, so there was never a dull moment in either characterization or plot.
All in all, a good book to keep you waiting for the next main book
