I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Search For Sam (Pittacus Lore)

After Adam almost dies, he starts a new life as a volunteer in Africa. But with One nagging him all the time, he knows he can't hide forever; he needs to fight against the Mogadorians; his kind he left because Adam believed they were in the wrong.

When he gets home, he immediately starts working for his kind again; to try and regain their trust. But working for people you know are trying to over take planet Earth is hard. Especially when you have One telling you to fight.

One is the only person who understands what Adam is going though. She is the only person who really knows his. She is his best friend.

But One is slowly fading away, so much that he doesn't see her as often. The only way to get her back is to go though her memories like he did before. But that scientist is dead. But he needs her. So he is going to do whatever it takes to keep her alive.

When he meets a new scientist keeping people alive, but in coma's, he meets a mad of the name of Malcolm Goode... and then his life takes another turn......

One of my favorite this about this series is people actually die. In most books, their is always suspense built about the possibility of someone dying, but they never really die. This series is different. It really makes you think that people are going to die, and in most cases, they do. It adds way more suspense then books that never actually kill off anyone.

I really liked how this book tied in with the main series and how it will effect main characters. I really hope "The Fall of Five" is in point of view of Adam.

I'm really annoyed that there are not any more "Fallen Legacy" books in POV of Adam, 'cause this one ended on a cliffhanger.

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Fallen Legacies (Pittacus Lore)

Adam is Mogadorian, and not just any Mogadorian; he is the son of a high power Mogadorian.

He has been raised to kill. Nothing else matters to his kind. They have created Vat- born Mogadorians who are programed just to fight against the Loric.  No one cares how many people or Mogadorians die just to kill a single Loric.

When number One dies, Adam gets sent into her mind to try and uncover things about the other members of the Garde. But when he learns about her life, he realizes that maybe the people from the planet his kind destroyed are not bad.

Maybe his kind are the bad guys. But if his kind are really the villains, what is he supposed to do about it?

................................................................................

Wow, I actually am going for a Mogadorian.

In the Lorien Legacies (I am number four series), the Mogadorians are viewed as just warriors. I always thought that maybe they had personalities and were raised in a similar way that the Garde were raised. But they are not. Most of them are just made to fight and die. They're disposable.

There was a whole lot of conflict. Mostly character vs. self, and it was interesting. Because Adam really could have either went with what he was raised to believe in (fight against the Mogadorians) or with what is  right (fighting against them). It was interesting watching him struggle so much with the decision.

With this decision came a huge change in his personality. Who he was in the first page is a completely different person then who he became. Its weird how just making one decision can change almost every trait you have.

The Lorein Legacies are probably my second favorite book series just because they are written so well. The plot is always complex and the characters have storylines that are engaging. There is always so much conflict.
